Sinn Féin MP Elisha McCallion has welcomed the announcement of 250 high level jobs for Derry at tech consultancy firm Alchemy Technology.
The Foyle MP said:
“Today’s announcement that tech consultancy firm Alchemy Technology will be setting up a new centre of excellence in Derry is a great boost to the city and the wider north west region.
“The company is making a significant investment in the city through the creation of 250 high level posts with salaries ranging from £25,000 to £45,000 per year.
“This is a major boost for the local economy and demonstrates what this region can offer when people work in partnership to make the vision of a new Derry and north west a reality.
“The jobs have been created due to the hard work and partnership with the company, Derry City & Strabane District Council, North West Institute and the local branch of InvestNI.
“At a time when the uncertainties of a Tory Brexit looms over business and threatens the economy here job creation of this level is welcome news.
“These jobs will provide much-needed employment for the local area and particularly for our young people and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition.” CRÍOCH/ENDS
