Sinn Féin MLA Martina Anderson has called on the Infrastructure Minister to meet with representatives of workers engaged in industrial action over allegations of management bullying at a Roads Service depot in Derry.
The Foyle MLA was commenting after writing to the Minister Nichola Mallon.
She said: “I have called on the minister to meet with representatives of workers who have begun a series of 24 hour strikes after voting overwhelmingly for industrial action.
“Unite the Union have warned that similar concerns exist in other depots and the strike action will be escalated if a resolution is not found.
“It is therefore incumbent on the minister to meet with the union and work towards a resolution that resolves the workers’ concerns and protects the important public service they provide.”
