Sinn Féin Representative in Shantallow Neil McLaughlin has urged people to be Carbon Monoxide aware.
Neil McLaughlin said:
“Although November is designated carbon monoxide awareness month it is essential that people should be vigilant all year round.
“In order to ensure you are protected you should have all fuel burning appliances serviced at least once a year by a properly registered engineer. Make sure chimneys and flues clear and give serious thought to the installation of a carbon monoxide alarm.
“If you already have a carbon monoxide alarm be sure to check it regularly to see that it’s working properly.” CRÍOCH/END
