Burke welcomes go-ahead for bi-lingual street signage at Magowan Park

Sinn Féin Councillor Tina Burke has welcomed the news that members of the Council’s Environmental Regeneration committee have approved the erection of bi-lingual street signage at Magowan Park in Derry.

She said “The erection of dual street signs in this locality is something that should be embraced and supported by all those who value and seek to promote the Irish language.

“I would encourage anyone else who wishes to have bilingual signage erected in their area to contact Derry City and Strabane District Council and begin the process.”
