Sinn Féin Shantallow representative Neil McLaughlin has urged parents to know where their children are, after a number of stone throwing incidents on vehicles at the Glengalliagh Road tonight.
He said “I have been contacted by a number of motorists after stone throwing incidents along the Glengalliagh Road tonight.
“Stones have been thrown at passing cars .It was a very frightening experience for everyone caught up in this.
“Apart from the damage to the vehicles we are only a split second away from a tragedy if a driver or passenger is hit with a missile.
“I would urge parents to warn their children of the dangers of getting caught up in these anti community incidents.
