Councillor Hassan said:

“Next month we are moving to the consultation stage with views on what  facilities residents, sporting groups, schools and all other interested parties feel the Culmore Country park  area requires.

“I  would appeal to the greatest number of residents in particular to ensure that they have an input into what eventually emerges.

“We have  been lobbying for proper community facilities for a long number of years and it is important everyone’s views are taken on board so that we can ensure that any facilities meet the requirement of the residents in Culmore.

“I believe that these should incorporate, sports pitches, children’s play park, walkways or cycle track, bird hides and natural habitat. But this may not be an exhaustive list which why it is imperative that every resident and interested party contributes to the vision of the development of Culmore.”
