Sinn Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper has welcomed the news that the Omniplex cinema on the Strand Road is set to get a £1m refurbishment with the creation of fifteen new jobs.
He said “This is good news for the city.
It’s great to see such a substantial investment in a business on the Lower Strand Road and the creation of fifteen news jobs.
In the current world economic climate every new job brought to this city is valued.
