Sinn Féin Derry held a demonstration Saturday afternoon on the New Road Creggan to call for the release of a young Palestinian girl.
Ahed Tamimi is a young Palestinian child who has been interned by Israeli forces in Palestine – the world should demand her unconditional release immediately.
Martina Anderson MEP who addressed the demonstration said “I am calling for the release of Ahed Tamimi, a 16-year-old Palestinian girl, who is currently imprisoned by Israel following her arrest from her home in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh.
Ahed and the hundreds of other imprisoned Palestinian children should be released immediately.
International solidarity is something the people of Palestine need .This is just a small act of solidarity we are sending from Derry City and would encourage others to do likewise.
