Foyle MP visits new DAERA headquarters at Ballykelly

Speaking after visiting the DAERA headquarters at Ballykelly with Caoimhe Archibald MLA (East Derry) and meeting senior department official’s  Sinn Féin Foyle MP Elisha McCallion said

“This is a hugely important project for the North West region which was announced by my party colleague Michelle O’Neill when she was agriculture minister.

“Caoimhe Archibald MLA (East Derry) and I had a good meeting with senior officials from Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs  at the new North West Headquarters in Ballykelly.

“We stressed the importance of this as a major initiative in tackling the regional disparities that still exist in our economy.And we were reassured that the decentralisation staff movement plan is ahead of schedule and there are no plans to relocate civil service staff from Derry to Ballykelly.
