Creggan commemorative event saturday 25th august
Saturday 25th August as part of the creggan festival and after meeting at Dunree Gardens a large gathering of young and not so young people took part in a Rescheduled tour of republican plaques erected in memory of the Volunteers of Óglaigh na hÉireann who died on active service in the Creggan area. The tour was given by former comrades of the fallen volunteers, and has also take in the republican graves in the City Cemetery.
The annual Eamonn Lafferty Commemoration took place on Saturday, 18 August in the Creggan area of Derry. The commemoration marked the 36th Anniversary of the death of the Derry IRA Volunteer
