Sinn Féin Councillor Kevin Campbell delivering bags of salt to residents in Grangemore to help grit a busy junction in the large development following heavy snowfall.
Councillor Campbell said “I was contacted by residents with concerns about snow and ice at this busy junction which sees hundreds of cars pass through the Grangemore and Ardgrange developments each day.
“I have been lobbying the Roads Service for a salt box at this junction but so far my requests have been unsuccessful so in the absence of that it was important to the get the bags of salt up to residents so they can grit this junction.
Concluding he said
“It’s also important to commend the work of Road Service who have been working flat out to keep as many roads in our city and district open.
