Sinn Féin Faughan representative Conor Heaney is urging the Post Office to quickly restore services following the closure of the Post Office in Campsie.
Conor Heaney said: “Post offices are obviously a huge important resource, particularly in rural areas, so it is hugely disappointing that the branch in Campsie closed in February.
“There was little or no warning for local residents prior to the closure and people are still unsure if or when services will be resumed.
“The closure came about due to the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use and senior management are now exploring what options are available to restore a service in Campsie. I have written to them and asked that they complete that work as quickly as possible and to keep local residents fully informed.
“The Post Office branch in Campsie is a vital community asset and every effort should be made to restore this service without delay.” Críoch/Ends
