Sinn Féin Faughan representative Conor Heaney has urged businesses based in rural communities interested in the Rural Business Investment Scheme (which is opening its sixth call) to attend mandatory pre application workshops next month and complete an Expression of Interest form at the workshops.
Conor Heaney said “I would urge anyone interested in the Rural Business Investment Scheme to attend either of the two local information events taking place on Friday 1st March 2019 at 10am The Belfray Country Inn and on Thursday 7th March 2019 at 7pm at the White Horse Hotel.
“It’s important to point out that applicants need to attend the mandatory pre application workshops and complete an Expression of Interest form at the workshop. Individual(s) attending the workshops must be either the business owner or a director. And that the application process will be competitive and not every application will be funded.
“The grants are between £500- £90,000 depending on the activity and size of enterprise for non-agricultural activities for micro, small and social enterprises in rural areas of Derry City and Strabane District Council.
