Sinn Féin MLA Martin McGuinness has said it is important to have wide-ranging participation in the proposed all-Ireland forum to discuss the impact of the EU referendum.
Speaking ahead of the North South Ministerial Council meeting in Dublin today, Mr McGuinness said;
“I welcome the announcement from the Taoiseach on establishing an all-Ireland forum to look into the implications of Brexit and discuss how we can move forward.
“It is clear this is not a done deal and we have yet to see how all of this will work out.
“It is incumbent on everyone attending today’s meeting to work constructively and ensure we can continue to make progress.
“It is important everyone who has in interest in protecting the rights and economic future of the people of this island contributes to the forum.”
