The Foyle MLA made the call after news that a soldier has been charged with manslaughter over the 1988 killing of Aidan McAnespie at a British army checkpoint as he made his way to Gaelic football match.
Raymond McCartney said:
“The family of Aidan McAnespie have waited over 30 years for truth and justice and they are commended for their persistence.
“ We are calling once again on the Irish government to release the Crowley Report immediately so that as much information to assist with full disclosure for the case is made available.
“Hopefully this will begin the process of closure for the family.
“Sinn Féin will continue to support the family in their endeavours for truth.”
