Jackson welcomes Green light for £27million Transport Hub

Sinn Féin Waterside Councillor Christopher Jackson has welcomed the decision by Derry City and Strabane District Council to give planning approval for a £27million plan to redevelop the former Waterside train station.

Councillor Jackson said “It excellent news that the plans for the £27million redevelopment of Waterside Station into a North-West Integrated Transport Hub have got the go ahead.

This progress is welcome and I look forward to work beginning on the project as soon as possible.

This, along with other key infrastructure projects such as the A5 and A6, will all enhance this city and district for locals and others.
