Councillor  Colly Kelly said

“Myself and Kevin Campbell visited the scene of the fire on Saturday morning and spoke with the member of staff there .This is a scandalous attack on a local business. Sadly it’s not the only businesses in the area which has been targeted over recent years. Because of the location it’s very hard for a business to keep watch twenty four hours a day.

They are one of the very few employers in the locality and are part and parcel of the local community.

Here we have a business providing a service for the people of this city  and now they have lost a lorry ,been left with a hefty bill plus the all the inconvenience  this is going to cause with the day to day running of their business.

I am appealing for anyone with information on those responsible to bring it forward. And  for anyone who sees people acting suspiciously around premises  in the area at night time or weekends to contact the police straight away.
