Sinn Féin Councillor Tony Hassan has encouraged people living in the greater Ballyarnett area to have their say on a future masterplan for the Ballyarnett Country Park
Speaking after attending a meeting on the plans Councillor Hassan said “ I would encourage people to go along and have their say ,have their input into what they would like to see at the Ballyarnett Country Park.
“I welcome the proposal’s contained in masterplan for the Ballyarnett Country Park .

The Ballyarnett Country Park can provide a wide range of opportunities and act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the area.
This is one of best assets this city has but has been underutilised for many years .And I believe it has nowhere reached its full potential yet, in providing parklands and facilities for residents in the local area and for the city as a whole.
The plans include additional play facilities, biodiversity projects, walking and cycling routes and act as a venue for the Arts and Sporting sectors. It offers a real opportunity to build the foundation’s for the next 5-10 years and put in place something the entire community can be proud of.
A drop in day has been scheduled for Tuesday 1st July between 2.00pm and 6.00pm at the Outer North Neighbour Partnership offices in Northside.
