Sinn Féin Housing spokesperson Councillor Patricia Logue has welcomed the news from the Housing Executive today that the stock transfer program programmed for Rossville has now been suspended.
And that the moratorium on planned maintenance work has also been lifted.
Local housing spokesperson Patricia Logue said “This news will be of great relief to local residents in the Rossville housing ward.
“When this was first announced a number of years ago residents feared the proposals to transfer hundreds of homes in the council area to Housing Associations would have an impact on tenancy agreements, rents and repairs. And the subsequent impact it would have on the future workings of Housing Executive locally in terms of staffing levels and service provision.
“It’s also good news that moratorium on planned maintenance work has also been lifted.
