Sinn Féin Councillor Tony Hassan said “We have been campaigning for these for some time and have been in negotiations with Transport N.I. for 18 months regarding the need and installation of traffic calming measures.
Transport N.I. have now been in contact to let us know that they will be installing these calming measures and it is now out for consultation, this consultation will be open for a number of weeks.
Once this is complete, Transport N.I. will be back in contact with a proposed start date and confirmation of the traffic calming measures that they will be installing.
As soon as we have this information I will inform residents of their proposed actions and we think this will happen later on this year, the area that will be affected is from the Culmore Road area to Ballynagard Crescent.
If anyone would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me.
