Speaking following the announcement by Minister Jonathan Bell earlier today that OneSource Virtual is to create 289 high quality jobs at their local HR Outsourcing centre, the Mayor said she was delighted the company had made this substantial financial commitment to the North West.
“This is the second major jobs investment announcement in two weeks for our city and region and I am delighted that the work going on behind the scenes with the various stakeholders to promote our city and region as a good place to do business, is reaping its rewards.
“As a city region we are committed to developing our economy by growing and attracting businesses and creating new jobs and opportunities for all our citizens, in particular our large and growing population of well educated young people.
“These are high quality jobs that reflect the quality of our city’s offering in terms of skills base. The Council will continue to work with Invest NI and other stakeholders to support business growth and to promote Derry City and Strabane District is to the forefront in terms of attracting foreign direct investment,” she said.
