Sinn Féin Councillor Elisha McCallion has welcomed health minister Michelle O’Neill’s engagement with health and social care staff ahead of the launch today of a radical plan to transform the health service.
“Ahead of the publication of the vision for the radical transformation for the health and social care service, my party colleague and health minister Michelle O’Neill wrote to more than 70,000 health staff.
“The minister and I value the hard work, dedication and professionalism of everyone who works in the health and social care system.
“I welcome the fact that the minister has engaged with the staff at the first stage of this journey to transform the health service.
“The minister has already met many healthcare staff and will continue to do so in the time ahead.
“It is important staff continue to be involved because everyone has a role to play as we continue to deliver 21st century health and social care.”
