Sinn Féin MP Elisha McCallion has welcomed the launch of the cross-border North West Centre for Advanced Manufacturing based at Catalyst Inc.
The Foyle MP said:
“Today I attended the launch of the North West Centre for Advanced Manufacturing based at Catalyst Inc in Derry.
“The project, which is funded by the EU will bring together 26 PhD students to develop cutting edge new advanced manufacturing techniques and processes.
“It will enhance all-Ireland research and innovation collaboration, particular in the health and life sciences sectors.
“It will include input from leading companies including Randox, Nuprint and Ulster University.
“This highlights the key role Catalyst Inc plays in encouraging and promoting our business sector and further underscores the need for additional development at site and I will be working with others to try to secure funding for the second phase of the development.”
