Sinn Féin Councillor Eric McGinley has welcomed the first BMi flights to Stanstead from City of Derry Airport.
Cllr. McGinley said: “As a Council representative on the City of Derry Airport Board I was in attendance at the launch of the first BMi flights to and from Derry and Stansted.
The introduction of the double daily flights will offer travellers plenty of travel options and is the result of much hard work over the course of recent months by Council and CoDA.
The service will help to maintain the Airport as a viable infrastructural entity for the North West and offers the opportunity to explore the possibility of bringing other routes into this locality.”
