Sinn Féin MLA Maeve McLaughlin a member of the Assembly Enterprise Committee has welcomed today’s announcement by Minister Arlene Foster of 333 new jobs for Derry
Maeve McLaughlin said:
“This is good news for Derry and will be a particularly welcome announcement for the local economy.
“The jobs are being created by Convergys Corporation client EE (Everything Everywhere) . This announcement is part of the outworking of the initiative by Martin McGuinness and Peter Robinson to attract inward investment during their trade missions to the United States and hosting the major Investment Conference last October at which representatives from Convergys and EE participated.
“It is refreshing to hear good news on the jobs front for the North West and I look forward to the outworking of the benefits to the local economy from these jobs which will be in place within the next twelve months.”
