Sinn Féin Councillor Colly Kelly has slammed vandals who have damaged fencing and cut down trees and caused damage in a new green area at the back of the new housing development Ballymagowan in Creggan.
The back entrance to the Ballymagowan estate and hasn’t been opened yet to the public.
Councillor Kelly said
“I was contacted by a number of residents angered by these wanton acts of vandalism.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that anyone would even contemplate ripping up fences and cutting down trees. A lot of time, money and effort has gone into getting this modern housing development just right and making this area a good place to live in .
I have been in touch with Apex to try and get this damage repaired and i would urge anyone with information on the culprits to bring it forward.
