Sinn Féin’s Gearóid Ó hEára has congratulated pupils from Derry schools who took part in the Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in Dublin.
“The Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition held in the RDS in Dublin over recent days is a hugely respected competition which attracted students from across Ireland.
“It provides our young people with an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents to a national audience and to exchange ideas with their peers.
“Once again this year several Derry schools qualified for the prestigious event in Dublin and I congratulate them on their remarkable achievement.
“Pupils from Oakgrove Integrated College, St Mary’s College and St Columb’s College represented the city and did us all proud with their exhibits and projects.
“They are a credit to their schools, their families and the entire city.
“It once again showcases the huge wealth of talent we have in this city, particularly in the all-important STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths.
“These young people will go on to be experts in their fields in the years ahead and will continue to be great ambassadors for the city.” Ends/Críoch
