One of the city’s busiest junctions is set to get a pedestrian crossing Sinn Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper has confirmed
Speaking today he said “I had several queries from residents of in Ardnashee, Farren Park area was there any plans for the installation of a pedestrian crossing at bottom of Lower Culmore Road area to allow safe access to Bay Road Park.
Many of the residents would use the facility on a daily basis taking their children to the park; this road sees thousands of motorists, walkers and runners’.
It is one of the busiest roads into our city centre so it’s always very busy and is also used by cyclists crossing from the riverside cycle path onto the Buncrana Road.
I am very pleased to have been informed by Transport NI that a pedestrian crossing is to proceed at this junction.
