O’Neill welcomes business Stormont plea

Sinn Féin Leas Uachtarán Michelle O’Neill today welcomed the initiative from business leaders calling for the restoration of the power-sharing institutions.

“I welcome today’s initiative in which 21 leading business organisations have issued a joint statement to all the political leaders.

“I have engaged with a large number of these business organisations and share their concerns – and the concerns of the wider public – that we are still without a power-sharing administration.

“The public are entitled to expect institutions established and operating on the basis of equality because that is what they voted for in the Good Friday Agreement.

“None of the issues in the talks are insurmountable. They are issues of rights and equality which can and must be resolved so that the institutions can be restored without any further delay.” Críoch/Ends
