Fo-infheistíocht, dífhostaíocht, Faillí
Bhainfinn feidhm as na focail thuas chun blianta mírialaithe sa chathair seo a léiriú. Is beag an difear é cé acu go ndéanaim tagairt do 1967 nuair a tugadh gonc don ollscoil nua a bheith suite i nDoire nó sa bhliain 2007 maidir le forbairt na seirbhísí ailse sa chathair seo.
Is soiléir go bhfuil Doire ar chúl san ord tábhachta go fóill. Dá bharr sin, lainseáil Sinn Féin an feachtas 'Seasaigí suas do Dhoire' chun daoine a spreagadh le tacaíocht a thabhairt do na cúig phríomhéileamh thuas
STAND UP FOR DERRY
We have five clear demands;

200000 more tourist per year to visit Derry
Immediate action on the Motorway and Railway to Derry
3000 Social and Affordable Houses for Derry

No one can deny that this City lags behind other regions in terms of job creation, public sector investment, structural and infrastructural investment, health facilities and Community and educational opportunities.
As the fourth largest City on this island and the North West capital, we have not enjoyed the same level of growth experienced by other cities and towns.
Governments own indicators of deprivation as well as numerous reports from various agencies, give a clear indication of the effects of the neglect and decline on all aspects of life in the City.
As Citizens, this is our opportunity to demand change. We are proud of our City. We are proud of its citizens. Let us stand up for Derry, for if we don't no one else will
Is mise,

As part of our ongoing campaign against the Israeli war in Gaza, Sinn Féin held a protest outside the Raytheon plant in Derry to highlight that fact that technologies developed here are now being used to kill and maim innocent civilians including children in Gaza, Iraq and Afghanistan.
"Sinn Féin position on Raytheon has been clear from day one in that while civilian applications at the Derry plant would have been accepted we would oppose any attempt to develop military technology. Sinn Féin, jointly with the SDLP, passed a Council motion to that effect, making it clear that the welcome for Raytheon would be withdrawn if it became apparent that the Raytheon plant in Springtown was involved in military applications.
"Raytheon have now admitted that the plant in Derry is engaged in making guidance systems for guided missiles being used in Gaza and is therefore a party to the appalling slaughter that we witness daily." View photos

"It is a great honour for me to be selected to represent Sinn Féin in the campaign for the Foyle Westminster seat. "The removal today of the spy tower from Rosemount Barracks is another step in the demilitarisation process and is to be welcomed. This tower with its array of cameras and listening devices was never a tool in civilian policing but part of the spying apparatus used by the British Military and securocrats".The thanks for all of this is due to the persistance and campaigning of the local anti watchtower group headed up by Cecil Hutchinson and other Rosemount Residents.
