Public services suffering the consequences of Tory/DUP austerity – Mullan

Responding to news that schools will receive less money per pupil in 2018/19 Karen Mullan said:

“These cuts imposed by the Tory/DUP budget will impact on children’s education and heap further pressure on teachers.

“It shows that far from being ‘additional’ the much-heralded DUP money is at best helping to offset cuts imposed by the British government.

“Rather than bringing an end to cuts the DUP has propped up a Tory government still wedded to austerity. Our public services, including schools, are suffering the consequences.”
