“This is good news for the residents of Rossnagalliagh and surrounding area.

We have been campaigning on this issue now for the last eighteen months and are glad to receive this news. In May of this year I wrote to Translink to ask for a reassessment of the route and hoped that they would include a bus stop at the entrance to Rossnagalliagh in the near future.

“The residents of Rossnagalliagh have to walk out of their estate onto either the Glengalliagh Road or the Buncrana Road if they need to get a bus.

Whilst this may be ok for some residents for others who have a disability or young children this inconvenience can be very problematic and can result in residents choosing not to go out at all, which in turn can increase feelings of isolation and loneliness for these residents and contribute to poor mental health.

I would like to thank Translink for their cooperation.
